Since September 2024, Alushta’s drinking water has deteriorated alarmingly. After a 3-day water cut for unauthorized roadworks, the water now smells of swamp, medicine, or chlorine (since Apr 11, 2025). A film forms on its surface, and boiling leaves sediment in kettles, darkening their steel. Reservoirs aren’t cleaned, infrastructure crumbles, and illegal constructions pollute water sources. No public data on water quality exists, and tariffs are unjustified.
This violates UN Resolution A/RES/64/292 on the human right to clean water. I demand:
1. Immediate water quality tests with public results.
2. Investigation of the smell’s cause.
3. Full audit of Crimea’s water systems.
4. Accountability for those responsible.
Russian authorities, including @GovernmentRF, must act, not send empty replies. The health of Alushta’s residents is at risk. Join me in urging @UN_Water and global media to spotlight this crisis. #CrimeaWaterCrisis
