A Call for Transparency and Environmental Protection: Concerns of Ukrainian Citizens on the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Fund Agreement

As a concerned citizen of Ukraine, I am sharing my appeal to the Verkhovna Rada regarding the U.S.-Ukraine Agreement on the Reconstruction Investment Fund, signed on April 30, 2025. This agreement raises serious questions about transparency, fairness, economic dependency, and environmental risks, especially given Ukraine’s outdated environmental legislation and the global surge in demand for critical minerals (UNCTAD, May 9, 2025). I urge the international community, policymakers, and fellow citizens to read, share, and discuss this issue. Let’s demand accountability, justice, and environmental protection for Ukraine’s future! #Ukraine #Transparency #EnvironmentalProtection #USUkraineAgreement . @verkhovna_rada, @UN_Ukraine, @UKinUkraine, @Greenpeace)

A Call for Transparency: Concerns of Ukrainian Citizens on the U.S.-Ukraine Re-construction Fund Agreement.

Appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the U.S. - Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund Agreement Dear Members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dear Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, We, the citizens of Ukraine, call on you to thoroughly review the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America on the Establishment of a United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund, signed on April 30, 2025, before its ratification. We express deep concern about the potential consequences of this agreement for Ukraine’s sovereignty, economic stability, and the rights of the Ukrainian people, as enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine. In our view, the agreement poses several risks that require your careful consideration: 1. Unequal Benefits for the Ukrainian and American Peoples The preamble of the agreement states that "the American people desire to invest alongside Ukraine in a free, sovereign, and secure Ukraine." Petition to the President of Ukraine: A Call for True Independence and Development

Dear global community, We, the citizens of Ukraine, have addressed a petition to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, urging him to prioritize Ukraine’s true independence, economic development, and the well-being of its people. Below is a summary of our demands, rooted in the challenges we face today. The Context Since 1991, Ukraine has been plagued by corruption, mismanagement, and a lack of strategic vision. Huge debts to international creditors and misguided policies have deepened our dependency. The recent U.S.-Ukraine natural resources deal (signed on April 30, 2025) is a stark example: instead of fostering development, it trades our resources (graphite, lithium, titanium) for military aid and loans, perpetuating conflict and destruction. This contradicts the very essence of human existence—peace, growth, and freedom. Freedom Means Independence True freedom for Ukraine is independence—equal partnerships with other nations, not subservience. We cannot remain a nation that agrees to anyth...
