Borders are ephemeral. Ukraine

2025.08.17. Borders are ephemeral. Ukraine

There is a threat to the existence of Ukraine.

I am for the preservation of life, the land that gives us the opportunity to exist and develop.

I do not support the government, which has shown itself disgustingly since 1991 – decades erased from life. But today, the president and his staff are heroes, deserving deep respect, as do the Ukrainian people, for their courage, steadfastness and fortitude.

It is very difficult to write about this. I have studied history superficially. We, Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, are of no use to anyone – this is how humanity develops. To analyze the entire history of human behavior with available data – the 3rd millennium BC to the present day will cause controversy and destroy thought, idea. The peoples of Europe by all parameters have a different psychology, consciousness and faith, radically different from the Slavs. The Slavs are a complex formation on the territory, unlike Europe, where the population has been homogeneous since the times before the Roman Empire. The Slavs are the result of mixing a large number of peoples – Europe, Asia.

Great Britain in the century before last gave up its colonies, forced other European countries to do so, but the form was changed to other, weaker countries, and not the colonial attitude. The First and Second World Wars were connected with this. The USA was created by the decision to resettle the surplus population, not the best, they destroyed all the nature and population in North America. Perhaps the same plans for Ukraine. Over time, the USA became the strongest, WWI and WWII ended thanks to their intervention. Ukraine today is not in the interests of the USA. Do I need to explain this? – in WWI they fought for access to the main trade routes through the Mediterranean; in WWII – similarly, plus, Germany claimed to seize all of Europe, and then the whole world. It was unprofitable for the USA to have such a rival, because Great Britain is "our own in spirit" and weaker. In addition, historical background, according to the research of Vernadsky G.V.: the Goths by 250 A.D. already controlled the entire northern coast of the Black Sea, and the Heruls and Burgundians had already settled on the Don – long before the so-called Varangians. It is clear that for food purposes. They have not forgotten their history to this day. Therefore, Ukraine should not "puff itself up" with Cossacks – a separate story, unworthy – the future is not built on the dead.

I propose to create a new society based on honesty. The Ukrainian people are honest, I know. You should not copy the lifestyle of the West – they will swallow everyone up soon and you will sink into history. We need to draw conclusions. The Ukrainian government has already made many mistakes: took out loans that will never be repaid – sell resources and drive the population into slavery? – the behavior of the same top brass of the alien Cossacks, a mistake. Built a nuclear power plant so that Europe could receive environmentally friendly cheap energy, but did not even reduce or cancel tariffs for their citizens in these territories? – the same violence. You were artificially brought to war – I remember everything, how the Azarovs and Yekhanurovs "convinced" everyone that the army is not needed, it costs a lot. And what? – everyone began to rob the state. And still. Of course, the government should form the consciousness of the population: first of all – to live honestly, by their own labor, respect others; remember that the environment is the only way to survive; arm yourself with your knowledge, start everything from scratch, it's simple; from scratch – figuratively, not to return to the Stone Age, develop your economy and shape your life, and not copy someone else's, which is death; live within your means, needs, and not just one day, otherwise – death. Freedom and democracy do not mean robbery and crime. By the way, these concepts, especially democracy – are not yours. And you need to live with your head – heart, mind, verification. Democracy is a temporary capitalist way to destroy the family – the main unit of society and force everyone to serve the state – no mind, no humanity, nothing, this leads to death. Although, global plans are different – the maximum reduction in the population, complete control over it. As such, there is no democracy or freedom, this is an illusion that replaced the faith of the people. Why did Ukraine and some countries not adopt Roman law? – you clearly need to know the reason, preferably – and the entire population.

As for Russia – the population there has been in the position of slaves for centuries, no one released them from this state in 1917 and their consciousness is accordingly; this is a state that has absorbed all the vices. And they are ruled by the same – punks. But Ukrainians are not like that, are they? We need to form our consciousness, only the right one.

I can't write much, it's hard and I can't write consistently. But I can answer any question in detail, because I've studied and know a lot.

Conclusion: the West does not need Ukraine, the people have a different consciousness and are not obliged to copy the West or imitate, because it is impossible – it is written in the genes and, the death of the nation. The West despises the Slavs, and they wrote about it, and still do, in films, for example. The war on the territory of Ukraine, where they test their strategies and weapons, medicine, household appliances; instead of disposing of their weapons at their own expense, they sold them to Ukraine, and continue – fight, kill yourself, imposing loans on a weakened state, the interest on which was already impossible to pay before the war and much more – do not indicate friendliness. What did the USA do? – they forced Ukraine to sign an agreement on the development of priceless resources by force, after which no one will carry out reclamation – they took away the resources, in exchange - they divided Ukraine with Russia. And no one takes into account the state and the population – as a worthless example of their democracy and the rule of law. Similarly, European companies developing resources for themselves have been operating in Ukraine since 1991.

Returning to the title about the ephemeral nature of borders. Let's figure it out, it's appropriate.

Example: the unification of Europe since 1478. Example: the leadership of the USA. Example: everyone will fly away to Artemis, to live in space. Example in nature: no food, they galloped to another pasture; no water – went to look for water. Example: migratory birds. Example: construction on the coast – destroyed the habitat of animals, does not mean that they died. Example: creating a family, marriage. Example: got an education, changed consciousness. Example: faith. Example: learned a foreign language. Example: moved to another country. Example: sleep (transferred in dreams). Example: death. Example: the Universe is expanding.

Remark. What do we know about the negotiations in Alaska? – Nothing, if not said, reported, explained. Are guesses necessary? – No, they lead astray, distort, and given the multitude of opinions, continue discord. Do we need to be observant? In everything. Instinct must be developed (caution, preservation of life) in the process of evolution – from rain, earthquake, neighbors, one's actions. What is the key to these negotiations for me, as an ordinary person, if I show interest? The appearance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Lavrov is indecent and informal before the official meeting – in a T-shirt with the inscription USSR. Two main points: a demonstration of disdain for the negotiations, which implies inflexibility, and the USSR – Russia's demand to have the Slavic peoples under its control. This is a centuries-old requirement, minimal, I have studied history in detail – G.V. Vernadsky, for example. And Lavrov does not personally demonstrate these requirements, but these are hints, because he is in government service. After that, it became clear to me. That is why I am raising the main topic – the ephemeral nature of borders.

We need to ask the West a question: do you want to help Ukraine? Let's now fight on the territory of France, Great Britain, Germany, other European countries, and Ukraine will help you – not interfere. In WWI and the WWII, they all showed themselves to be weak, with the exception of Germany, and only through joint military actions did they stop the discord of governments – after all, war is not a natural disaster or a space alien, but a struggle of clans for spheres of influence. This is an example of ephemerality. Ukraine did not claim to seize Europe or the world, why did they make it a springboard for their clarifications and destroy it? This is a crime of humanity. Therefore, I do not trust Western countries and am not going to copy their life – this will not lead to anything good. Therefore, I ask the people of Ukraine to pay attention and create their own state, a fair one. I will help, and such issues cannot be resolved with money. There is nothing in common with communism in my proposals: I propose logic, common sense, a scientific approach, respect for one's land and life – to follow the laws of evolution in the universe, not to live for today. And for Ukraine and the people – to always be independent and self-sufficient, respected by all, but at the same time – smart – to confirm their right to exist.

The final part is unpleasant, and it is needed only by Ukraine and the Ukrainian people to realize that no one needs us anymore. When a loved one dies a natural death, it is a tragedy, a rethinking of your place in the family and in life. But when innocent people are deliberately killed, maimed, mental trauma is created that will be dealt with in generations, I change my attitude: Ukraine is being destroyed as a state before everyone's eyes, deprived of the right to exist. What the hell do I need their pre-arranged aid, refugees and conditions for? Let them run themselves: this land is mine! And I will not leave it!

 Personally, I would pay attention: the USSR is a threat of a cornered monkey with a nuclear club; the USSR is not only Ukraine – claims to almost all of Europe, access to the Mediterranean Sea with the violation of all trade relations in the world, demands to recognize itself, its influence, its ideology of a primitive society of the Stone Age. This is already dangerous. And for many centuries, nothing has changed, despite the expansion of the universe, the change of civilizations and the death of dinosaurs. Changing the rules, the method, the type of governance of the planet and humanity is relevant – they have no ideas: they have weapons, they printed money for themselves, subjugated people, but there is no reason. War is the most primitive method of the Stone Age. Nothing to be proud of.

Overall loss estimates

The conflict in Ukraine, which began with Russia's full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022, has resulted in significant civilian and military casualties. Data on natural (non-conflict related) deaths during this period is less available, as they are not separately identified in the context of the war.

Civilian losses

According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), as of 31 July 2025, the following have been confirmed:

- 13,883 civilians killed, including 726 children;

- 35,548 civilians injured, including 2,234 children.

These figures include only verified cases, and the UN has repeatedly stressed that the real numbers are likely to be significantly higher due to limited access to the occupied territories and difficulties in confirming data. For example, in occupied regions such as parts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, independent monitoring is limited, making it difficult to accurately count.

Military losses

Estimates of military casualties are more controversial, as both sides (Ukraine and Russia) often do not disclose full data or provide understated figures to maintain morale and strategic goals.

Ukrainian military losses:

- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in February 2024 that 31,000 Ukrainian servicemen had been killed, but this figure is considered understated;

- The Wall Street Journal estimates, based on confidential Ukrainian data, that by early 2024 about 80,000 Ukrainian servicemen had been killed and 400,000 wounded;

- Every Casualty Counts source for January 2025 indicates 43,000 dead Ukrainian servicemen, but this is also a preliminary estimate.

Some user reports citing British journalist Warren Thornton claim that Ukrainian casualties are up to 1.8 million (including dead and wounded), with daily losses of around 1,638. However, these figures have not been independently verified and are likely exaggerated for propaganda purposes. Such claims should be viewed with caution as they are not backed by reliable data.

Russian military losses:

- According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, by the beginning of 2025, Russia had lost more than 800,000 military personnel (killed and seriously wounded), making this conflict one of the deadliest for Russia since World War II;

- Every Casualty Counts estimates that the number of Russian military deaths is likely to exceed 100,000, but there are no precise figures;

- BBC News Russian Service and Mediazona as of January 2025 confirmed by name 84,761 dead Russian servicemen, based on open sources, but this is only a part of the real losses;

- The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimates the number of Russian soldiers killed in the war to be between 200,000 and 250,000.

Natural deaths

Estimating natural (non-conflict-related) deaths in Ukraine during the conflict period is difficult due to the lack of specific data in the context of the war. Before the conflict, the mortality rate in Ukraine was around 14-15 per 1,000 people per year (based on World Bank data for 2019-2021), which for a population of around 44 million (until 2022) would translate into around 600,000-650,000 deaths annually. However, since the start of the war, the population has declined due to emigration (around 6.8 million refugees) and internal displacement (4 million people), complicating the calculations. In addition, the war may have affected the mortality rate due to deteriorating living conditions, access to healthcare, and stress, especially among the elderly.

As a rough estimate, let us assume that the population of Ukraine during the conflict was reduced to 35-37 million people (including refugees and occupied territories). If the pre-war mortality rate is maintained, this gives about 500,000-550,000 natural deaths per year, or about 1.5-1.65 million over the three years of conflict (February 2022 – August 2025). These figures are extremely approximate, since the war probably increased mortality from disease and other non-conflict causes, but there are no precise data on this aspect.

Total losses

Civilian deaths: ~13,883 confirmed (UN, July 2025), likely up to 20,000-30,000 including unconfirmed cases in occupied zones.

Ukrainian military deaths: 43,000 (Every Casualty Counts) to 80,000 (Wall Street Journal), let's take the average of ~60,000 as a conservative estimate.

Russian military fatalities: 100,000 (Every Casualty Counts) to 250,000 (CSIS), average ~175,000.

Natural deaths (Ukraine): ~1.5-1.65 million over three years (estimate based on pre-war statistics, adjusted for population decline).

Total death toll:

- conflict losses (civilian + military): 248,883-265,000 (13,883 + 60,000 + 175,000, taking into account the range of estimates);

- taking into account natural deaths: 1.75-1.92 million for the entire period (February 2022 - August 2025).

Time breakdown

For calculations, the conflict period is from February 24, 2022 to August 16, 2025, which is 1270 days (approximately 3.5 years).

Total conflict losses (248,883-265,000):

Per year: 248,883 ÷ 3.5 ≈ 71,109-75,714 dead.

Per day: 248,883 ÷ 1270 ≈ 196-209 dead.

Per hour: 196 ÷ 24 ≈ 8-9 dead.

Per minute: 8 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.13-0.15 dead.

Per second: 0.13 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.0022-0.0025 dead.

Civilian losses (~13,883-30,000):

Per year: 13,883 ÷ 3.5 ≈ 3,967-8,571 fatalities.

Per day: 13,883 ÷ 1,270 ≈ 11-24 fatalities.

Per hour: 11 ÷ 24 ≈ 0.46-1 fatality.

Per minute: 0.46 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.008-0.017 fatalities.

Per second: 0.008 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.00013-0.00028 fatalities.

Military losses (Ukraine + Russia, ~235,000):

Per year: 235,000 ÷ 3.5 ≈ 67,143 fatalities.

Per day: 235,000 ÷ 1270 ≈ 185 fatalities.

Per hour: 185 ÷ 24 ≈ 7.7 fatalities.

Per minute: 7.7 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.13 fatalities.

Per second: 0.13 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.0022 fatalities.

Natural deaths (~1.5-1.65 million):

Per year: 1.5 million ÷ 3.5 ≈ 428,571-471,429 deaths.

Per day: 1.5 million ÷ 1270 ≈ 1181-1299 deaths.

Per hour: 1181 ÷ 24 ≈ 49-54 deaths.

Per minute: 49 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.82-0.9 deaths.

Per second: 0.82 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.0137-0.015 deaths.

Breakdown by year (conflict losses)

2022 (February-December, ~313 days):

Civilians: ~7,000 (high casualties in March 2022 - 3,912 killed).

Military (Ukraine): ~15,000-20,000 (estimate based on intensity of fighting).

Military (Russia): ~30,000-50,000 (estimate by CSIS and other sources).

Total: ~52,000-77,000.

2023 (365 days):

Civilians: ~3,000-5,000 (stabilization of the front, reduction of intensity in cities).

Military (Ukraine): ~15,000-25,000.

Military (Russia): ~50,000-70,000.

Total: ~68,000-100,000.

2024 (365 days):

Civilians: ~2,500-4,000 (losses increased due to drone and missile attacks).

Military (Ukraine): ~15,000-25,000.

Military (Russia): ~60,000-80,000.

Total: ~77,500-109,000.

2025 (January-July, ~197 days):

Civilians: ~1,383-3,000 (losses increased, 6,754 casualties in six months).

Military (Ukraine): ~10,000-15,000.

Military (Russia): ~30,000-40,000.

Total: ~41,383-58,000.

I think these figures are significantly underestimated. Property damage is a separate criminal issue. The main thing now is to preserve the nation and the state.

Data on refugees from Ukraine (as of 2025)

Total number

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine: approximately 3.7 million people remain internally displaced in the country as of February 2025.

Refugees outside Ukraine:

- According to UNHCR, as of April 2025, there are 6.918 million refugees from Ukraine registered worldwide, of which:

6.358 million in Europe;

0.56 million outside Europe (e.g. USA, Canada and other countries);

- According to Statista, as of May 2025, the total number of refugees is about 5.6 million worldwide, of which 5.1 million are registered in Europe.

The difference in figures may be due to different counting dates and methodology (for example, UNHCR counts all refugees, including those not registered under temporary protection).

Distribution of refugees by country (April-May 2025)

According to UNHCR and other sources, the main countries hosting Ukrainian refugees are:

Germany: 1.243 million people (as of April 2025).

Poland: 999.7 thousand people (as of April 2025).

Czech Republic: 401.4 thousand people.

United Kingdom: 254 thousand people.

Spain: 235.7 thousand people.

Italy: 171 thousand people.

France: 70.1 thousand people.

Russia: 1.2 million refugees (data as of June 2022, more recent data is not available).

Belarus: 44 thousand people (as of March 2025).

Other European countries (including Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, etc.) also host refugees, but in smaller numbers. For example, in Moldova, UNHCR supports 1,858,100 refugees under the Regional Refugee Response Plan 2025-2026 (jointly with other countries).

Dynamics and trends

From December 2024 to April 2025, the number of refugees in Europe increased by 104,000, indicating a continuing outflow of population.

According to forecasts by the National Bank of Ukraine, another 200 thousand people are expected to leave in 2025, and the return of refugees will begin in 2026 (200 thousand) and accelerate in 2027 (500 thousand).

The European Commission forecasts that the number of refugees receiving temporary protection in the EU will remain stable in 2025 (~4.3 million), with a possible decline to 4.1 million by the end of 2025 and to 3.8 million by the end of 2026.

Demographic profile of refugees

According to UNHCR (October 2024 – April 2025 surveys):

- 77% of refugees are women, average age is 44 years;

- before leaving Ukraine: 52% were employed, 5% were unemployed;

- in host countries: 42% employed, 16% unemployed.

Around 76% of refugees are women and children, increasing the risks of gender-based violence and exploitation.

Humanitarian needs

In 2025, 12.7 million people in Ukraine will need humanitarian assistance, including 2 million children.

UNHCR and partners provided assistance:

- 4.32 million people inside Ukraine in the first year of the war;

- 2.6 million people in 2023 in Ukraine and neighboring countries;

- more than 410 thousand emergency housing kits, 300 thousand people received psychosocial support, 37 thousand houses were repaired.

Under the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan 2025 (HNRP) and the Regional Refugee Response Plan (RRP), assistance is planned for 12 million people in Ukraine and 1,858,100 refugees in seven countries in the region.

Problems and challenges

Funding: In 2024, the RRP received only 21% of the funding it needed, with more than half coming from the US.

Infrastructure: Attacks on Ukraine’s power grid are deteriorating access to water, heating, and electricity, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis and forcing people to flee the country.

Temporary Protection: The EU has a Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) in place until March 2026, giving refugees access to housing, the labour market, and healthcare.

Integration and Return: Despite the economic contribution of refugees (e.g. $88.7 billion to Poland’s GDP in 2022-25), their integration is straining local economies, and return is contingent on the end of the conflict.

Do you understand what it means for a country to disperse its population and lose women and children? – the main thing, I understand, is many – the majority.

Start creating a new society now: opportunists, imitators, braggarts, thieves – lovers of an easy life at the expense of the state and the people, Ukraine does not need. Everyone must work for Ukraine according to logically developed plans taking into account the future, others are not needed; the consequences of the war are an exception. Lots of work. Ukraine must be free, independent and smart. I will help.

In relation to the West, we need to insist: borders are ephemeral – we are part of the cosmos, and everyone must survive, and not divide who will command, this is primitive. What will happen if the planets fight, which of them will be the Sun? – to the galaxies' laughter. Not long ago, humanity had no idea who revolves around what and why and where we are moving? We still have not come out of this state. Consciousness needs to be changed.

By the way, in space no one will hear you, your voice, there are other criteria, but this does not mean that, shouting and fighting here, you are not in space. The paradox of undeveloped consciousness.

If only on history, for information I used the scientific works of Vernadsky G.V., and on his references – the whole cream of historical science; A.J. Toynbee, A. Asimov; H.J. Wells and absolutely all the others who did not remain indifferent to life on earth. There is no point in creating a whole list, you just need to love life.

Ending: perhaps they don’t talk about this – they’re upset, they don’t have time for it, and many are waiting to adapt later, but silence is also a crime.

I live in Crimea under occupation.

A Person from Ukraine: Memory of Humanity – Against Oblivion / Человек с Украины: Память человечества – против забвения / Людина з України: Пам’ять людства – проти забуття

A Person from Ukraine: Memory of Humanity – Against Oblivion I am an ordinary person from Ukraine, from Crimea (Alushta). I am an engineer. In 2009, I realized that a personal computer is not just a machine, but the guardian of my life. Since then, I have been storing personal documents, family photos, work projects, thoughts, music and films. Over the years, I have felt more and more clearly that the modern world is erasing personality. Wars, refugees, artificial intelligence , algorithms – all this turns a person into an “average value”. Leaders without ideas, the abolition of faith, constant comparison – and millions of worthy people throughout the history of Earth remain nameless. I do not want my thoughts, the life of my family and the lives of ordinary people to disappear without a trace. That would be a disgrace for all of humanity. That is why I propose a simple but powerful idea: Create a “ Capsule of Humanity’s Memory ” – a long-lasting storage medium accessible t...

Signs of Occupation.

Date: September 6, 2025 Signs of Occupation I live in Crimea, in Alushta. I’ll try to make sense of it. I’m fed up. In general, without emotions or details for now–but details are necessary and will follow later. The question of signs of occupation in Crimea, including Alushta, requires examining both historical context and the current situation in light of international law and political realities. The term "occupation" is used here in the context of international law, where Crimea is considered an occupied territory of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, as per UN resolutions and other international documents. Signs of Occupation from the Perspective of International Law Under the Hague Conventions (1907) and Geneva Conventions (1949), occupation is defined as the temporary control of one state over another’s territory without the consent of the international community or the legitimate sovereign. For Crimea, this stems from the 2014 annexation by Russia following a...
